H-Com Review: Bruce Pays Off College Debt

TRANSCRIPT:

Patricia:
Hey guys, Patricia from SmartApps here, and I have Bruce with me today. He is a fellow H-Com member. How are you doing today, Bruce?

Bruce:
I’m doing well. How are you?

Patricia:

Awesome. I’m doing great. So, we’re here to talk about your store, successes and everything that you found with H-Com.

Bruce: Yes.

Patricia:
So, to get that started, how much are you currently making with your store?

Bruce:

Okay, so with that store that I started with H-Com Zero, I basically used it to scale the one product, and then did an X amount of money with that product. And now the store is actually just on hold.

Bruce:

I’m keeping the data because I have all the Facebook data on the Pixel and everything. I’m thinking just to do more of a one product store going forward. Just because I have that data, and I feel like the product itself is a long term product. But I actually haven’t touched it since July of last year.

Patricia:
Really? Wow, one product. That’s kind of impressive.

Bruce: Yeah.

Patricia:
That’s cool awesome. So, how fast were starting to see your results?

Bruce:

For me, it took a good three months. I gave it a good go with one niche and then it didn’t really work out for me. Basically, I just went and as I went along, I learned from my mistakes. And my second store is when it really took off. Once I found that one product, literally that one product can change your whole life.

Patricia:
Wow. Awesome, cool. Well, what did you do exactly to get the results that you started to see?

Bruce:

Honestly, it was just testing. A lot testing and just seeing … So for example, I would run … The winning product that I found, I actually found it just through … What did I do? I did one of those searches where you use Commerce Inspector. I don’t know if you know what Commerce Inspector is.

Patricia:
Yeah, I’m not familiar.

Bruce:

You find winning products on other stores. And basically, I took that and I ran traffic to a product that I thought would be a winner, but instead of that product being a winner, I included another product in an upsell, that I noticed people would buy. So two people, I think bought that product. So, I’m like, “Okay, I’m just going to run ads to this product that’s getting sales.” And then it ended up being a winner. So kind of luck in a way, kind of not. I don’t really know.

Patricia:
Oh, awesome. Yeah, that’s super cool. That’s funny how that worked out.

Bruce: Yeah.

Patricia:
What advice would you give to a newcomer?

Bruce:

Honestly, you need to be consistent with how you approach things. You need to have some kind of structure or like a set up. But yeah, I would say just consistency. I feel like so many people come into it thinking that they’re going to find a product right away.

Bruce:

I guess a lot of it comes down to your learning curve as well, because some people it’s just going to take longer. But yeah, I think consistency. And also, a really undervalued one is your belief. You need to believe it’s going to work out. Because a lot of people go into it half ass thinking that it’s not going to work out. They don’t know if it’s a scam.

Bruce:

Or some people just think it’s not possible. But I think … I feel the more you believe in the product, or the more you believe in the work that you’re putting in every day as you consistently move towards your goals, it’s just going to come to you a lot faster. It’s been my experience anyways.

Patricia:
Yeah. Those are honestly, awesome points. Like mindset and just you know … [crosstalk 00:03:05].

Bruce:

Yeah, just the overall mindset is [crosstalk 00:03:05].

Patricia:

Yeah, that’s a good point. That’s definitely something that needs to be brought up. So, do you feel like you got your return on H-Com?

Bruce:

Oh, 100%. Yeah, I feel … I got into H-Com … I’m at McMaster University right now. Whatever I did with the product, like the 30 grand I did in four months, I did that literally working maybe an hour to two hours a day max. And not even every day. It would have been five days a week.

Bruce:

I’m a full time student. I used to work full time. I had a job when I was doing it. I basically got into it because two of my buddies are actually part of H-Com as well. There’s another guy, you can look him up in the Facebook group, his name is Adam Hepburn. And he was one of the top earners as well. And as well as my buddy [Demos 00:03:49]. And they were both part of H-Com and they were both top earners. Demos I think is doing 50K a month now. Still drop shipping. Adam has moved on to social media marketing.

Bruce:

But this was kind of the introduction to e-commerce for me. So, when I got into this space, like Becker’s course, it was just life changing completely. Because it just … It kind of opens up your mindset to what’s possible. And at the same time, I feel like at it’s price point, once you buy it, you have to take it seriously and you kind of have to indulge fully. You can’t really divide your attention anymore. You have to say, “Okay, I’m all in now because I spent X amount of money.”

Bruce:

I don’t know, I just feel like it’s a great introduction to e-commerce. Everything is really well laid out. The instructors in general. I’ve always had people reply to my questions really quickly. Even Matt has DM’ed me sometimes. When I needed help with one product, figuring out how to scale it, audience testing, all that stuff. Everyone is really helpful in the group.

Bruce:

I really like the course. It’s structured really well. I like how it doesn’t get you to rush ahead. You kind of have to wait week by week to get the new videos. I really like that part of it. And yeah, I don’t really have any complaints about it. I have bought other courses and I’ve been part of other courses, but I still feel H-Com is the best one, in terms of value.

Patricia: Awesome.

Bruce:
And it’s always being updated too, so …

Patricia:

Yeah. It is. Well, yeah, you’re totally right. You mentioned that you’re a student and I know that the pricing is like taking another college course.

Bruce:

Yeah. Yeah for sure. And honestly, I think I paid like … I got it on special for maybe two grand or something like that. And it was worth more than anything I’ve ever spent on university or college.

Patricia:
That’s awesome.

Bruce: Yeah.

Patricia:
Cool. That’s great to hear. I’m glad that you found so much success.

Bruce: Yeah.

Patricia:
And thank you so much for taking the time to hang out with me today.

Bruce:
No worries.

Patricia:
And answer some questions.

Bruce:
Thanks for having me.

Patricia:
Yeah, of course. All right, Bruce. Thanks so much, bye.

Bruce:
All right. Take care.

Patricia: Bye.
